AA 113: Fly to Samburu Sopa Lodge
A flying safari to Samburu Game Reserve: the park is made up of harsh and arid plains of Samburu are home to certain species of game which are unique, in Kenya, to the northern parks - Beisa Oryx, long necked gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, blue-shanked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe.
Day 1 Nairobi - Samburu
Fly in the morning to Samburu Game Reserve where you are met and transferred to Samburu Sopa lodge set on the western boarders of the park with views of the Laikipia escarpment, Mount Kenya and the Ololokwe mountains to the north. After lunch at the Lodge, you enjoy an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Samburu
Full day in the park with game drives.
Day 3 Samburu - Nairobi
An early morning game drive perhaps along the Ewaso Nyiro River which forms the southern boundary of the Park. Many small herds of elephant are often seen bathing in the River or browsing in the riverine forest along the River banks. After breakfast at your camp you drive to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi which arrives in the city at approximately midday.
